Daddy's Lullaby

I can hear Leo singing "Sing" to Kalli in the other room. It's so sweet :) He's putting Kalli to sleep now cause it's already 11pm. I wonder if he's succeeding...

Kalli's New Wheels

Last sunday, we picked up grandpa (I'm referring to my dad) from the airport and we took Kalli with us. Afterwards, we went strolling and shopping at the Mall of Asia. Kalli was so curious about everything. She liked looking around while sitted on her SUV of a stroller. Then we went inside the department store to buy her some stuff. One of the things that we (c/o grandpa) bought her was this:

She really loves her new walker! We let her try out different ones while in the store, but this is the one that she really liked. I guess it's because of the many buttons that she can push and play around with. It's actually a swing/walker in one (I don't know the real term). There was one that her daddy liked but when we put her in it, she just sat there and didn't seem to enjoy it. Then there was this other one that grandma liked, but she cried when we let her try it! Hahaha, I guess it was because of the sound. She didn't like the built in music that came with it. Anyhoo, we had no choice but to buy her what she wanted. She's spoiled after all, hehehe.

Aside from her walker, we also bought her a sterilizer (for her upcoming Bicol trip), some hair clips, and some diapers. I tried out this imported Huggies diaper, which was so expensive but seemed more comfortable. The sales lady said it was an overnight nappy too. But when I let Kalli try it one night, it wasn't as dry as the Pampers All-Night that she has been using. (Bet you didn't really want to read about that right? hehehe)

Anyhoo, I'll cut this story short since I still need to catch up on my sleep. In the meantime, here's another picture of Kalli in her new wheels...

Until next post

Good Morning Mommy

Kalli woke me up at 4am this morning, and goodness, she was SO AWAKE. It was not one of those give-me-milk-then-I'll-sleep moments. It was the wide-eyed-hyper-active-ready-to-play awake! She kept rolling - yup she can roll now, on her stomach on her back on her stomach... She kept pushing me to the wall and her daddy off the bed. I tried to pretend to be asleep but she started pulling my hair. When I tried to trap her in my arms, she starter swinging her arms and kicking her legs. It was like a wrestling match between mommy and baby! And at 4am! Hehehe, I think I lost too ;)

Kalli can be so demanding sometimes. I worry that she'll throw some tantrums when she gets older. I think she'll grow up spoiled too - being the first grandchild - both sides. Hmmm, this parenting thing can be quite complicated. We'll see...

By the way, Kalli's now 7.2kgs. She's quite heavy now and not so easy to carry. But her doctor assured us that she's not overweight, just above average. It's good to know my baby's healthy and strong. And energetic too. Have I told you that she's wearing only 1 earring now cause she took off the other one? She did that last month, and now she's punky Kalli, hehehe.

Anyhoo, that's enough kwento for today. Oh and Kalli has a new tabblo - http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/248447/ . Enjoy!
