Kalli was trying to wake her tita LA the other morning when she saw the basketball on the shelf. She asked me for the ball saying "ball, ball". I told her "may?". She thought for a moment, then slowly said "MAY I HAVE BALL PIS?" Oh my goodness, my baby's talking in sentences now! Hahaha, tita LA was quite shocked. I too was a little surprised that she got all the words correctly, though I was hopeful she would. She actually has been practicing the night before. At first I didn't realize what she was doing. She kept saying the words "have", "I" "pis" (please), "may". Understanding dawned on me when she told me "MOMMY, MAY HAVE NOAH PIS?" (Note that Noah is her book). I was so proud of her then, even though she forgot the word "I". She really is a smart kid :)
Since then she has spoken these sentences on her own (without prompting):
Since then she has spoken these sentences on her own (without prompting):
- "May I have mamam pis?" - when she was asking for the milk yesterday
- "May I have buds pis?" - when I was trying to put her to sleep last night. She loves it when I clean her ear with the cotton buds.
- "Mom pis?" - meaning "more please"
- "May I have donut pis?" - just this morning at breakfast
